Located in North-west New South Wales, The Bank on Kelly Hygge Villa resides in the centre of Scone, ‘Horse Capital of Australia’, nestled in the heart of the picturesque Upper Hunter Valley.
The Scandinavian word, Hygge, or haagua (pronounced hoo-ga) is a term which encompasses comfort, charm and simplicity; a principal which, when put into practice, engenders feelings of cosiness, contentment, and well-being. Our luxurious, Hygge Villa is designed in exactly this way; an eclectic, cosy and peaceful space.
Family, Pet, Corporate and LGBTQ friendly, we accommodate individuals, large groups and families alike. Here you can enjoy more space than a traditional hotel room, with all the comforts of home. Sleeping up to 14 adults, we offer five separate bedrooms, loungeroom and living space for you to enjoy with that special someone, group of friends or the whole family.
A unique hideaway and perfect place to host your book club, artist, and writer’s groups, or small, corporate ‘Team Together’ time sessions. A great space for travellers working remotely. The perfect ‘Writer’s Retreat’ or newlyweds’ hideaway!
Several bedrooms have dedicated, laptop friendly workspaces, and all have surge protected charging bays available for your devices.
We also provide a selection of books, magazines, boardgames, card decks, free unlimited NBN100 WIFI with Smart TV in the loungeroom – and for the musically inclined we have a piano and guitar in the downstairs foyer!
Luxurious & Cosy Holiday Stay
We undertake regular maintenance and thorough, regular cleaning to keep this beautiful home in prime condition for your comfort and peace of mind. Freshly tiled flooring and new carpets in all bedrooms creates a very comfortable, fresh and clean-living space for your short-, or long-term stay.
Designed for living, not just sleeping, all our bedrooms are located on the top floor and feature either King, Queen, or Double beds, bedside tables with reading lamps, charging ports, device plugs and 4 of 5 rooms have an enclosed veranda space with garden or street views and seating. Clothing racks are provided for you to stow your items and hang your garments (King Suite [Room 1] contains built in wardrobes). 2000 thread Egyptian Cotton linen provided, bamboo breathable pillows, coverlet set, electric blanket for those cool winter evenings, plus two additional blankets per bed. All mattresses are top quality, plush top. Linen is professionally laundered.
Our home has a fully functional and fully equipped kitchen, including oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and gas cooker. Tea, coffee, milk and breakfast cereal provided. Fully kitted out with utensils, cooking utensils, pots pans, the works, to make yourself right at home! Dining table seats 8, as does the outdoor dining area, and we have everyday dining settings for twelve to fifteen people.
Child friendly, melamine dinner ware available for the little ones.
We have a full-sized internal laundry, with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board, and ample storage with a large sink and washing detergent provided, allowing fast, no fee, hassle-free washing options to suit all of our guests.
One bathroom downstairs with shower and toilet. Two bathrooms upstairs, one with separate toilet, both with shower and bathtub, (yes, we have two baths!). Personal towels, washer, hand towel and bathmat provided.
Soap, shampoo, conditioner also provided, in addition to pump hand soap and body wash options.
Pet towels and pet shampoo supplied (we love our fur-babies too!). Please note we cater to outdoor domestic pets only.
